My kid tried his hand at turning back the flood waters of the Mississippi River, but he had no luck. Next, he tried walking on water, but that failed, too. We finally called it a day and went to DQ. God Bless.

This is Phil. My sister told me that Phil is the Great Nephew of none other that Mr. Al Capone. As it turns out, Phil is cousins with Big Al (8 times removed, however that works). Maybe some day we’ll have Phil on as a guest. He’s got some great stories about Cousin Al, old John Gacy and Chicago in general. I would tell you what he said, but I might wake up next to a horse’s head in my bed (or worse).
Yes, I went to Cheeseland recently and enjoyed myself. Whether it was the Packer MILTF’s walking down the street, the $17.95 cheeeseheads for sale or our our nice hotel with limited air conditioning, I took it all in. Go Pack go!
The person involved with this claims he was just trying to cook some food in the church basement. Really, that’s his defense. If he beats the rap for this, I wonder if he’ll write a book, perhaps “If I did it, part 2″.
I went with some friends mushroom hunting. I found this huge monster. I don’t eat them (mushrooms that is, not friends) because I saw this strange Japaneese movie a long time ago where giant mushrooms were attacking some tourists on a island. Has anyone else seen this movie?? Anyway, it still freaks me out. Enjoy!
I did some cleaning recently. I moved my 29 gallon fish tank and found the mummified remains of a fish that had disappeared several months ago from the tank. I placed the remains on my nieghbor’s fence for no particular reason. The eyes are gone, but the body remains in good shape. This is a picture of the head. Enjoy!

I watched in horror as tree branch after tree branch came tumbling down this weekend all around my ‘hood. The branch located to the left of the mail box almost hit me in the head a few minutes before I took this picture. I figure God is still looking out for me inspite of my wicked ways. Thanks, God! Peace.
Don’t get upset! I was “shooting” the eagles with my cell phone. I was chilling out by the Mississippi River here in Iowa. That little black speck in the left picture is an eagle (I know, my camera sucks). Enjoy!
I was farting around Iowa City this weekend. I took in the Old Capital, the stadium and the university musuem. I found a model of one of Bob’s relatives (picture on the left). Sorry, but I didn’t get any pictures of any sexy coeds. Maybe next time….

I wasn’t much of a ladies man back then (I couldn’t get to third base with a bowling ball), but here it goes:
BLAIR-She’s super hot and way out of your league. Big hair, lots of make-up and mega attitude. You’ll have to be a jock and/or have a decent bank account to get this one. You don’t have a chance.
JO-Natural good looks, but bitchy personality. She’s probably in your league. She might be a little too butch for some, but she’s mechanical. She would probably do your homework if asked.
TOOTIE-In twenty years, at your reunion, you’ll kick yourself for not asking her out. The “brace face” look scared you away when you where in school. She’s like your buddy’s kid sister and she’s a carpenter’s dream. She’s in your league, but you pass on this one and give her time to grow (see you at the reunion!).
NATALIE-Well, she’s a got a nice personality! Where do you begin with this one? She’s too chatty and probably hangs out around your locker for no reason. You suspect she likes you, but she’s too much of a train wreck to fool with. Pass on this one and give her number to your buddy.
MRS GARRETT-I won’t even go into this one, but I’m sure Bob would enjoy looking at her ass (that’s his thing).

I went Geode hunting with my kids recently in Hamilton, Ill. We filled a 5 gallon bucket full of these things. My back hasn’t been the same since I had to lug the bucket up a hill and back to the car. Rock on!
Oquawka, Illinois is home to an elephant graveyard. It’s true. Poor Norma Jean Elephant was traveling with the circus when it stopped here in 1972. A bad storm came up and poor Norma Jean was struck and killed by lightning. She was buried where she died. Dig it!
Ok, so I lied about the picture. These brave men are still guarding the banks of the Mississippi River here in Iowa from the evil British forces and their allies 200 years after the fact. Carry on.

Peter Griffin meets Christina Aguilera…well sort of. I went to my 20th high school class reunion. I thought I was stalking Ms. Aguilera, but it turned out to be just Kathy from art class. Just the same, I waited outside the bathroom for a chance to get this photo opp. Her husband took the picture, so it’s all good (note to my wife). I don’t think she believed me when I said I was a personal trainer. Mac Daddy Miles livin’ large!
For those of you in another part of the world, these are called fireworks. I watched these with my family at West Point, IA. There’s nothing better than being surrounded by a few hundred red necks in the dark. Enjoy! Miles.
