The family and I checked out the Ghost Train in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. It’s good stuff for kids of all ages. Happy Halloween!

I went Geode hunting with my kids recently in Hamilton, Ill. We filled a 5 gallon bucket full of these things. My back hasn’t been the same since I had to lug the bucket up a hill and back to the car. Rock on!

I spied one of these while in line at Kmart and laughed out loud. Some clever Reese’s employee slipped this in and is having a good laugh, I mean really Big Cup with Nuts! who wouldn’t think this was funny, fifth grade humor at its best. As you can kinda see from the upper left hand corner it is a limited edition, so hurry on out and grab your BIG CUP with Nuts!
Oquawka, Illinois is home to an elephant graveyard. It’s true. Poor Norma Jean Elephant was traveling with the circus when it stopped here in 1972. A bad storm came up and poor Norma Jean was struck and killed by lightning. She was buried where she died. Dig it!
